Parting is such a Sweet Sorrow

Updated: Apr 29, 2021

It's been almost three-weeks here in Kansas visiting family and I am getting ready to begin the journey back to the Pacific Northwest. I have to say, spending time with my brother, Rick, never fails to bring a smile and lots of chuckles. He is one of the kindest souls you could ever meet.

One of the special treats while visiting Dad and Zelda in Topeka was waking up to a blanket of snow. And Kansas being Kansas, a short while later it was approaching 70-degrees....

During my stay at the Longview Lake Campground in Lee Summit, MO I was able to enjoy an incredible full moon. After a day visiting family it was so relaxing to come home and spend some time moon-gazing.

Another special treat during this visit was seeing my Cousin Kay and her daughter Janine. When I was a very little boy Kay would come and stay with us to help my mom out so she has always been very special to me. Her spirit shines brightly and hugs are guaranteed.
